Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings is the sequel to Final Fantasy XII which takes place one year after the initial game. Vaan has now realised his dream and become
a fully fledged sky pirate, armed with his own airship. Many of the old faces return, and there are some new ones, such as Llyud.
Instead of being the usual style of game for the series, it took on a more tactical feel. The action was more like Final Fantasy Tactics, but in real time, which
gave it a larger element of strategy. The game was also increased in difficulty for the North American release, as Square Enix felt it would be too easy.
